Thank you for visiting my webpage. As a recent graduate from California State University San Marcos with a degree in Management Information Systems, I am now embarking on a new academic journey as a master's student at University of San Diego for Cyber Security Engineering. Originally from Bulgaria, I am a first-generation student in the United States, and my journey reflects a blend of perseverance, adaptability, and a passion for knowledge.
In addition to my educational pursuits, I've accumulated over 8 years of invaluable experience at North County Water Heater Services, a family-owned business, where I've not only mastered technical aspects but also contributed to administrative tasks and AWS projects, enhancing business operations.
My professional journey reflects a passion for problem-solving and continuous learning across various domains. With certifications in AWS, CompTIA, C#, ISC2, and Linux, I've honed my skills in cloud computing, including proficiency in deploying and managing scalable applications on AWS infrastructure. My expertise extends to leveraging AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, and CloudWatch for efficient resource management and deployment automation. Moreover, my C# and Linux certification has equipped me with advanced programming skills, enabling me to develop robust and scalable solutions for diverse technical challenges. Additionally, my ISC2 CC certification has provided me with a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles, preparing me to address modern security threats and implement effective security controls. Lastly, my CompTIA Security+ certification has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of core cybersecurity concepts, including network security, threats and vulnerabilities, risk management, and incident response, equipping me with the skills to effectively protect and secure information systems.
As a former President and CFO of the MIS society, I've demonstrated leadership and organizational skills while fostering a collaborative environment for fellow students pursuing IT degrees. My career aspirations extend to becoming a CISO, where I can leverage my technical acumen and leadership capabilities to drive organizational cybersecurity strategies. With a profound passion for aviation, I am actively seeking entry-level or new graduate opportunities within the realm of the defense industry. I am eager to apply my skills and enthusiasm to make meaningful contributions in defense-related endeavors.
What motivates me professionally is not only the pursuit of excellence but also the opportunity to inspire and motivate others, especially as a first-generation student in the US. I strive to set an example for my peers and my younger sister, emphasizing the value of perseverance and continuous growth. Beyond the realm of technology, I find comfort in outdoor adventures like hiking, backpacking, and kayaking. Additionally, I enjoy engaging in creative pursuits such as 3D printing and woodworking.
